On this very rainy Sunday, we found comfort from Café Oto's (apparently Britain's coolest venue) Persian food counter. Run by Soli Zardosht it serves a small selection of homemade salads, snacks and one-pot wonders - and there’s always a vegan option. This time it was fava beans with hummus - very good but dare I say quite pricy at £7 a small pop.

To try and counterbalance the blues of the end of the holiday, Tim and I went to Hummus Bros for lunch. I had mushrooms and paprika topping and Tim guacamole. But once back at the agency, Gabor delivered some very sad news. We were hoping our beloved Mrs Marengo’s closure was only temporary, but over the holiday it transformed into… a very non-vegan French restaurant selling cassoulet and lardons all around! Bad news for Soho vegans.
