This week, we’re holidaying in Italy. Wednesday involved a seven-hour train journey from Venezia to Salerno… we had the foresight to prepare some food for the train. The first step on Tuesday was facing the local supermarket - shelves hold roughly half ham, half cheese. We went the hard way: preparing and packing home-made caponata and potato salad. Although it leaked all over train and luggage, it was worth it!
